Mehdi Vaezi banned for six months after positive test

TEHRAN – Mehdi Vaezi, the keeper of Iranian side Paykan, faced a six-month ban from matches of all levels as he tested positive for banned substance, reported the Anti-Doping Committee here Saturday.

According to the committee, the national automaker’s club got fined 10 thousand Swiss francs.

The committee has yet to send the report to the world football’s body FIFA for the final approval.
